Masaryk University (MUNI) is one of the largest universities in Czechia, with more than 35,000 students. MUNI comprises 10 faculties, more than 300 departments, nearly 500 study programmes, and employs over 3,300 academic staff and researchers. MUNI Faculty of Informatics has been active in cybersecurity already for three decades. It excels in the field through cutting-edge research, industry partnerships, and innovative training platforms, contributing significantly to cybersecurity education, infrastructure, and national resilience. The faculty hosts several research teams that advance cybersecurity from diverse perspectives, and it offers comprehensive Computer Science education at all university levels. It has trained hundreds of successful Masters graduates and dozens of PhD students, with about 20 PhD candidates currently under supervision. The faculty leads EU-funded projects such as CHESS (Cyber-security Excellence Hub in Estonia and South Moravia) and CCAT (Cybersecurity Certification and Assessment Tools) and collaborates with major cybersecurity companies—including Red Hat, Monet+ or Invasys—through the Association of Industrial Partners of the faculty.
